Mike Horn is probably the world’s greatest living explorer. For the documentary series Mike Horn: Surviving the Impossible, Mike has granted unprecedented access to his personal archives, giving us an inside view of his most spectacular expeditions. 

Whether his descent of the Amazon on a hydrospeed, his trek across the North and South Poles on skis, or his trip around the Equator, Mike will reminisce about his death-defying adventures with an emphasis on physical and mental preparedness, stress management, and of course close calls and scrapes with death. 

Through interviews with experts and Mike’s entourage, we get a blow-by-blow account of his expeditions, learning in the process how his body was able to adapt to extreme conditions. CGI animations allow us to reconstruct what couldn’t be filmed, and to model the most hostile environments that Mike faced.
