Family Portraits

In 2024, Yann Arthus-Bertrand returned to a major project he first began thirty years earlier: portraying France through the people who live there.

Travelling across the country with a mobile photo studio, he photographed families, friends, colleagues and groups alongside the objects, tools and animals that tell the story of their lives.

Alongside demographer Hervé Le Bras, Family Photos follows these encounters beyond the portraits, weaving together intimate stories into a collective portrait of France.
